Introduction

A course designed to facilitate the training of Performing Authorities and Issuing Authorities to Company specific procedures in Permit to Work.

Courses can be provided to safety Trainers including all sectors of the Oil and Gas industry.

  • Guidance notes Permit to Work (Site-specific if requests)
  • When should a permit be used- familiarization with complimentary permits
  • Who issues them- An examination of the relationship between those issuing permits and those working under PTW
  • How should it be filled in (following permit sections) having the focus on PTW documentation; A general appraisal on the formwork used during PTW and the importance of an integrated approach to PTW use.
  • Practical application of PTW; A practical based session including the filling in signing and completion of PTW.
  • A course designed to facilitate the training of Performing Authorities and Issuing Authorities to Company specific procedures in Permit to Work.
  • Courses can be provided to safety interests including all sectors of the Oil and Gas industry.

Objectives

    This course should ensure that authorized and properly trained people have thought about foreseeable risks and that they are avoided by using suitable precautions.

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
