Introduction
With the increase in global competition and awareness about energy conservation and management new concepts such as Green Buildings and District Cooling have emerged as essential development.
This is an introductory course to provide exposure to the basic concepts of HVAC Design. It will enhance the theoretical as well as a practical concept to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC). Basics of Automation and control systems and devices relevant to the HVAC systems are also covered.
The program also covers energy auditing and conservation in HVAC systems including Demand Side Management (DSM), Energy Saving Opportunities etc.
Objectives
- Understand the fundamentals of HVAC systems.
- Year-Round control of HVAC in residential and commercial areas.
- Learn HVAC Design Fundamentals
- Know the importance of Air Quality controls.
- Learn the air ventilation system (Natural and Mechanical).
- Decide the selection of ventilation equipment, its design, operation and maintenance.
- Get familiar with the use of the district cooling system, its advantages and limitations.
- At the end of the training program, participants should be able to do the proper selection of the applicable
- HVAC system and sizing of its main components. In addition evaluation of energy-saving opportunities and calculation of simple payback period based on life cycle assessment.
At the end of this training course, you will learn to:
Training Methodology
This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations.
Who Should Attend?
The course will be of immense value to understand, design, operation and maintenance: The training program introduces technical administrative and managerial level personnel to HVAC, Town planning and environmental sciences. This program will be of great help to Real estate developers, city council officials, Energy auditors. The high-level technicians and maintenance engineers.
